Album: Archive Edition 5 – Snare

This compilation from 1999 brings us some more classic episodes.

First of all, Dennis lets Mr South in on Mrs Jeffreys’ efforts to make Grunty Fen a ‘Best Kept Fen’, but it’s a touchy subject and Mr South takes a step too far. Listen out for a bad-tempered rendering of Tha’s All In Ya Loif.

Could the new director-general of the BBC, Greg Dyke, have Grunty Fen connections? Dennis thinks it could be something to do with the surname.

Dennis reveals why he wasn’t impressed with the Moon landings when Mr South questions him about the thirtieth anniversary of man’s greatest journey of exploration. Could there already have been an alien invasion of the Fens?

And Dennis is having a sartorial dilemma whilst preparing for his holidays. Who’d have believed it?

Running time: an hour of Dennis at his irascible best.

Available as a little old shiny CD or a whizzy MP3 package digital download thingy.
