Description
This collection comes from June 2003. It’s Maudie’s turn to borrow the coal lorry – but what does she do with it? And who doesn’t she want to get in it?
How did Dennis take everyone to the beach without leaving Grunty Fen? There’s an unusual story for children, and Dennis and Maudie have to whisper – but why?
Dennis’s banjo sounds better than ever. What’s the reason? And how did Dennis get a shock when he went to one of his old favourite haunts?
The Imp Man has been round but why does Dennis want nothing to do with him? Find out what chafed Grandad so much, and why a silent wheelbarrow can be dangerous.
Finally, a bonus track so that you have all the episodes from June 2003: the story of Bomber Harris and the religious schism which struck Grunty Fen. This track – A Blessed Nuisance – was previously released on Trouble Is.
Be warned: with this collection you’ll be hearing about nudity, blancmange, Nyasaland, vacuum cleaners, sprouts and strong elastic.
Running time: Spend over an hour in another world.
